WarCry – Gloomspite Gitz Part 1
It's been a while since I tried my hand at a WarCry project. I've actually had several attempts, but I always ran out of steam halfway through, which was partly due to the constellation of the warbands I chose.
Since we arranged a cooperation with Stormbringer magazine, which is distributed by Hachette, at the beginning of the year, the idea of using the contents to set up a WarCry warband or two came up at the same time.
Well, every old fogey who has played Orcs and Goblins in Warhammer has a little place in his heart for Night Goblins - back then we even thought that this was just an army for real blokes, as it felt like you had to paint loads of these little hooded dudes.
With WarCry, I now have the opportunity to actually lead Night Goblins into the field without setting myself a task for the rest of my life. Let's start with these two gentlemen.
One of the gobbos was a promotional mini when the seventh edition of Warhammer was released, the other is a contribution from Chefoberboss Jens. I don't know if I'll really need them yet, but somehow I've always had room for two Gitz with spears when building a list - I guess the second row is simply the best place to stab someone.
Next up will be the Loon Boss. I actually want a squig rider as a leader, the models from the Squighoppaz box are just damn nice. But I don't mind a bit of variation, that way my opponent never knows straight away what I'm bringing and I can try out a bit of a different line-up.
