Necromunda – Bulkheads

While sorting through the miniatures and getting a feel for the volume, I realised that my actual problem aren't the miniatures (they are mostly 28mm, so that's not that tall, and I don't do mass combat armies) but the terrain. And after going through the boxes and opening up the 4th box (of a few more) with Necromunda Bulkheads in it, it dawned on me that I might went a bit overboard on them.

So my stock went above 200 of these, that's more than I need.

Sisters of Battle – Order of the Sacred Rose

The Sisters of Battle have come together, and I store my projects while gathering them in these sorting boxes. But this isn't a good overview, so while sorting out and taking stock, I decided to set up sheets for my projects that I can manage in photoshop and see which units go together, even after a break or being distracted by some shiny new stuff.

Warhammer 40.000 – Sisters of Battle assemble

How did the filling of the gaps go? Not bad, patience and a broad network really paid out with this one.

I was able to buy two SoBs with heavy weapons from one seller, an unbuild immolator (whoop-whoop!) and priest from another one and Martin / Zigor, a good friend of mine from the Tabletop Rhein Main (you might remember my coverage of their convention - The Multiversum) made me an offer I couldn’t refuse on a bulk lot of SoBs.

White Dwarf 458 – November 2020

With a bit of delay (and unfortunately skipping issue #457) the November issue of White Dwarf arrived.

White Dwarf - 458 November 2020

Games Workshop covered a brief look into the issue on Warhammer Community. And this issue covers quite a lot of nice goodies. You get a Warcry character card, a flying ace for Aeronautica, a new Starplayer for Blood Bowl, a Stratagem card for Titanicus, Tactic card for Necromunda, a code for 40k Combat card and Talisman RPG flyer. On top of that there is a double sided poster, with a game plan for a LotR wizard duell and A3 poster of the new White Dwarf Space Marine chapter the Tome Keepers.

Warhammer 40.000 – Going for the Sisters of Battle

There's new about the Sisters of Battle! Because only a few days after I found my sisters I saw a lot offered in one of the boards, that would supply me with most of the things from my wishlist and even some more blisters. That could come in handy for trades, but would mean additional work as well. We managed to agree on a trade, which wouldn’t drain my monthly hobby budget and even reduce the stock (or at least wouldn’t just let my lead pile grow).

Only problem, the Immolator is too new and I was missing some of the heavy and special weapons. So to get a proper overview, I went on SoLegends and consultated the codex, to see which models and units were available and what I might be missing.

Stumbling over some Sisters of Battle

I have a fable for the 2nd Edition of Warhammer 40.000 – that’s no secret. And that is one of the projects, that I decided to keep and to put into reality during the “cleansing” of my stock.

While sorting through the lead pile, I came across my two squads of sisters of battle and looked into the according codex (1997, so quite late for the 2nd edition). It only had 64 pages and due to the limited amount of units, it was more of a side army, something you would normally use as an allied contingent for an Imperial Guard. Beside the Sisters of Battle Squads, I have a few of the ecclesiarchy models for my Inq28, so I got them together to check if that would be a lot big enough to follow up on, or too far away from completion and better be sold.

Warhammer 40.000 – Battlezone: Manufactorum – Conservators

To boost up the Manufactorum Battlezone Games Workshop re-released the armoured containers and parts of the servo-haulers, with the 9th edition rebrand as Battlezone: Manufactorum - Conservators. The Conservators are a mixed set with haulers and a container, providing a bit of scatter terrain.

Warhammer 40.000 – Battlezone: Manufactorum – Vertigus

For the 9th edition Games Workshop released a new series of starter sets, covering two forces and terrain in different tiers. You can choose for example the Command Edition or just the Battlezone terrain from that boxed set, or if you want to go all-in, the large Battlezone: Manufactorum - Vertigus boxed set that we're going to take a closer look into today.

Necromunda – Slave Ogryn Gang

After expansions for the regular houses with special gangers, the latest plastic kit for Necromunda covers the big guys - Slave and Servitor Ogryns. Games Workshop offers these in two variants, as the Jotunn H Grade Servitor Ogryns or as a full Slave Ogryn Gang. And after roughly half a year, after its initial announcement in February 2020, the unit as part of the House of Chains is available.

Ogryns are a new addition to the underhive (if you exclude house rules or experimental rules from the Fanatic magazine and such), but a very fitting one. A lot of the gangs have access to brutes, and what is more brute than an Ogryn? There are two choices, you can either go for a double pack of Servitor Ogryns for 32,50 EUR or the Slave Ogryn Gang of 6 for 65,00 EUR. The pieces are in both cases identical, the double-sprue is simply covered three times in the gang box.
