Renedra – Mudbrick House
This review about the Mud-Brick House by Renedra, that I thought I already published (you could see it in my review on the sandbags), got lost somewhere in the past. I wanted to refer it in the upcoming review on the two-storey houses, but after not finding the review I realized, that I took the pictures, edited them and so on, but never wrote the actual article. Anyhow, I think it still generates value to talk about this kit, especially with a further terrain sets by Renedra, picking up the middle eastern theme.
Modern Combat – Humvees, Tanks and Marines
The chassis are ready, a convoy of 3 to 4 almost identical looking vehicles would be okay, but as these will be put to use in smaller games and skirmishes, I didn't want to use clones, so I bought some Black Dog resin upgrades a while back.
Casting quality is pretty wild, some parts are just broken or not fully casted. Black Dog threw some of them in there multiple times, probably to make up for that lack of quaulity. The instructions are only available for the IDF kit and even there a bit vague.
Bitbox-Stand In, miniature swap with Gregor / SirLeon
We hoped that we would be able to meet in some kind of way to exchange some stock within our hobby group, but due to being spread across Germany that wasn't possible. As I had some bad experience last year with DHL, I hesitated to use postal services to exchange the miniatures (especially, even if they would reimburse us for lost stuff - which they don't - with some of the OOP items that wouldn't be much help anyway).
Anyhow, as it doesn't really seem that we will have a time slot coming up, that would make a personal meeting happening and the boxes (yes, plural, in the beginning it was one box labelled with Malkränzchen, but over the months it became individual boxes for each one, to keep track who receives what) grew in size. So we had some video chats, talking about what we're looking for, what would end up in the boxes and prepared them for shipping. It is post christmas, it's national tracked packages, so the risk should be a minimum.
Gregor already wrote about some of the items that I sent him over at the German board Tabletop Welt in his project log "Jenseits des Steinbachs". But what did I receive? Some 90s goodies from Middlehammer 🙂
Frostgrave Ghost Archipelago – Tribals
After covering the Crewmen, the next Frostgrave Ghost Archipelago kit are the tribals we're going to cover. Besides the very obvious temperatures and climate as a difference, in Ghost Archipelago the crew follows a heritor instead of a wizard, and these tribals can be used either as allies or enemies of those treasure seekers.
The tribals are a generic plastic kit, catching the idea of tribes, native to the jungles of the Lost Isles and isolated from the known world. They are heavily influenced by different cultures from our world, like the Polynesian Samoans or Maori, with some North American and African influences as well.

Warlord Games prepared a bundle of scatter terrain called Battlefield Debris and in todays review we will take a closer look into the box.
Realm of Chaos – Herdstone part I
In context of my beastmen warband I have mentioned Paul Sawyer's participation in The Tale of Four Gamers, with his chaos beastmen army. And one of the things that really caught my eye in that series, was the herdstone he build for his army (covered in the White Dwarf #221 and #222).

Necromunda – Slave Ogryn Gang
After expansions for the regular houses with special gangers, the latest plastic kit for Necromunda covers the big guys - Slave and Servitor Ogryns. Games Workshop offers these in two variants, as the Jotunn H Grade Servitor Ogryns or as a full Slave Ogryn Gang. And after roughly half a year, after its initial announcement in February 2020, the unit as part of the House of Chains is available.
Ogryns are a new addition to the underhive (if you exclude house rules or experimental rules from the Fanatic magazine and such), but a very fitting one. A lot of the gangs have access to brutes, and what is more brute than an Ogryn? There are two choices, you can either go for a double pack of Servitor Ogryns for 32,50 EUR or the Slave Ogryn Gang of 6 for 65,00 EUR. The pieces are in both cases identical, the double-sprue is simply covered three times in the gang box.
Realm of Chaos – Hooves and Fur Part XIV
Let's get ready for the remaining two miniatures of the summer project. These do not actually belong to the Hooves and Fur project and are "just padding" to have 18 miniatures for the challenge (18 miniatures in 3 months).
As you can see from my first post on these two, I went for regular Ungors from the Middlehammer Beastman range. Both were sculpted by Alan Perry.
I went for the regular black primer along with a stronger white dry brush to pick up the details and have better orientation on the model.
A Medieval Siege Engine
Ever since I played Age of Empires 2, the tribok or trebuchet caught my interest. In the The Outlaw King, the impressive Warwolf was seen in action. And when the Baron's War kickstarter covered a set of siege engine crew, I got them, as they fit very well the early crusades armies as well.
But as for the siege engine itself. I always liked the Gripping Beast siege engine, but that one is out of stock since I ever looked it up. Sarissa Precision covered a tribok of their own, as an MDF kit, which is a steal at 20 GBP, very inspired by the Warwolf and incredibly huge. But to huge for my use and I am not that keen on MDF for these kits, as I wanted the wood texture, that you can show like that in resin or plastic. The kits by Games Workshop for the Bretonnians or Gondor are quite nice, but OOP, so I went on looking for plastic or resin kits.
