And as mentioned, a lot of the German tabletop community joined in this event, so you've seen some that you've met at other shows earlier this year.
Rhein Main Tabletop brought their Battlefleet Gothic table with them.
Ad Arma Con 2019 Part I
As promised, I headed down into the "Palz" to Meckenheim, to visit the Ad Arma Convention 2019. New location, moved from the Sportshall in Speyer to the Gymnasium in Meckenheim.
Parking was a bit of an issue, if you came a bit late, you had to park along side the road or on the otherside on the parking lot of a Greek restaurant. After you've paid the 6 EUR entry fee, added one of the show miniatures to it, received your wrist band and were handed the ballot for "best table of the show", you could enter the hall itself through those roll ups.
Prelude to Ad Arma Con 2019
Ad Arma does not just participate in other shows, like Rhein-Main-Multiversum recently, but hosts their own show in Meckenheim this saturday.
7th Rhein Main Multiversum 2019
Due to the so-so weather, I didn't take the scenic route through the Taunus towards Nidderau, just north-east of Frankfurt, but the Autobahn. Because once again and for the 7th time, the Tabletop Club Rhein-Main hosted their Rhein-Main Multiversum at the Willi-Salzmann hall during the whole weekend.
Prelude to Rhein Main Multiversum 2019
This weekend, on saturday and sunday, April 27th and 28th 2019, the Rhein-Main-Multiversum will be held at Nidderau.
Tactica 2019 – Part 1
As teasered last week, I went to Tactica in Hamburg! As this was a prolonged weekend in the pearl of the north, my - better said our - trip started on friday late noon.
Tactica 2019 – Part 2
The coverage of Part 1 continues with the prominent guests of Tactica.
The twin brothers Michael and Alan Perry were at the show, sculpting, having a chat with the guests and even added one of the show miniatures. But they weren't alone, they had Aly Morrison (who sculpted the Great War Miniatures range) and Peter Dennis (artists of multiple box artworks, Osprey and Warlord Games published works, and of Peters Paperboys).
Tactica 2019 – Pleasant Anticipation!
It is actually happening! I'll be at Tactica in Hamburg for the first time! I've been to Hamburg multiple times, but never made it during february, when the well known German wargames show Tactica is hosted.
In 2016 we headed with a motley crew to Stahl auf der Heide, the open day of the tank museum at Munster.
1st Puppen Shop(p)en 2018
Today was the first Puppen Shop(p)en (puppet with a word play on sale and morning pint) by the Headblast Oberhausen e.V.. Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. the club rooms were used to chat, browse and trade, near the huge shopping mall CentrO. Of course, no event coverage without the obligatory parking lot picture!
Spiel 2018 Preview
This Thursday, the October 25th, Spiel starts again. It is the largest board game con in Europe. You can download the Spiel Guide for the show here for free.
