Star Wars Legions – Priority Supplies
This set has been around for a bit longer, I actually picked it up during my vacation in Spain (there fore the spanish and portuguese description / packaging). As I have a sweet-tooth for terrain, especially objectives and scatter, I picked these up at the local store in Santander (Distrito Zero), especially as I got a discount and paid around 20 EURs for them.
Priority Supplies is similar to Vital Assets a non-core addition to the game, and covers 12 items that can be used for markers, points-of-interest, mission objectives and so on, in detail they are 3 comms stations, 4 moisture vaporators, and 5 supply crates. As the set was released in 2018, it seems that it was discontinued by now, as it no longer listed by Atomic Mass Games or Asmodee - but there are several listings on independent stores, where you can pick it up between 20 to 30 EURs.
As this is a Star Wars Legions set, we do not just get plastic, but some rules / gaming material to play as well,
- Objective Card - Sabotage the Moisture Vaporators
- Deployment Card - Advanced Positions
- Condition Cards - Minefield
In my case these are spanish and portuguese. Keep that in mind, when you buy these kits online, if you intend to use the rule sets, that they are matching / useable for your purpose.
Everything is easily assembled and made from light grey plastic. The five crates are of different design and could be used to upgrade larger terrain pieces as well.
The communication stations have terminals in front of them, and make them the perfect mission objectives (reach one com-station, activate two or all three of them etc.). I like that the have different designs and are not just clones.
And a very fitting addition to most Star Wars tables are the moisture vaporators, which are different designs as well.
The content of this set is a nice addition and fulfills the role in a very fitting way. While they are a bit taller, they still work from 28 to 35mm in my opinion, you can easily use them for Shatterpoint I think.
While Atomic Mass Games dedicades an article on building Objective Markers, using both sets - Priority Supplies and Vital Assets - it might difficult to get your hands on the sets, depending on where you are located in the world. Or you might not want to spend 25 to 30 EURs for scatter terrain, if you have access to a 3d printer. Therefore here's a brief suggestion of alternatives:
- Skull Forge Studios - Insurgent Hangar Crates
- Dark Fire Design - Smuggler's Bay Scatter Terrain
- Jandro3d - Cargo Terrain Set
- David Sheff Models (former Squamos) - Various Scatter Sets
Anyhow, if you fancy the set, and you can pick it up for around 20 EURs like I did, it is a fair deal. I wouldn' pay close to 30 EURs or more for it, as it is just some mission objectives.
