Age of Sigmar Warcry – Ogor Mawtribes Tyrant

When you have subscribed to the Stormbringer magazine series, there are here and there optional bonus miniatures that you can pick up at a heavy discount. For example this Ogor Mawtribes Tyrant.

This came a bit as a surprise, for two reasons. For one you have to opt out if you don't want to receive this model, but as it was a third of the regular RRP, I could live with that and I wasn't aware that this was a plastic kit, as I thought this model was one of the finecast characters among the Ogor Mawtribe range.

You receive a a small sprue and 50mm round base with all the bits you need to build this hero from the Ogre Kingdoms / Ogor Mawtribes for Age of Sigmar. You can use him in Warcry as well, if you like. Casting is well done, nothing to argue about, minor mould lines, there are just no optional bits in there, you have to build him as he is shown.

In case of the Stormbringer magazine we even get a thin magazine with it, covering a bit of lore, the assembly along with a foldable backdrop and brief tutorial on miniature photography.

Assembly of this model is pretty straight forward, as you have mostly rather bulky, stable pieces. And in no time, the entire miniature is build. I really like the pose.

And the Tyrant is a big one, you can see him towering easily above the humans, and even Stormcast, just like a Ogre / Ogor should.

Proper pose for a Tyrant.

Conclusion

It is a good design, with a high production value. No gaps, no issues with the casting. I would just like it, if they added a few options to these plastic kits. Like an alternate weapon, a second head option. Just something to bring some variation to the table, as not each and everyone of them should look the same.

While the regular price of 31,50 EUR is surely steep for a single small sprue, within the Stormbringer magazine at roughly 10 EUR it is nearly a no-brainer, and I am looking forward to paint him up.
