Adeptus Titanicus – Legio Astraman Ad Arma Pt. IX

What is the status on Legio Astraman since the last update? Well, the titan legion from Graia was deployed in the Battle for Uulda, and the next escalation level of the conflict is called for october, so there is a bit to do.

This is the current status of the maniple itself, with a few weapon options. As these were the first models  I build, along the Titanicus reviews, I unfortunately glued most of the weaponry fix in space, with the exception of the magnetised Warlord options and the backs of the Reaver. The models are battle-ready, are missing some final weathering / highlights, decals and the name plates. As well as some replenishment.

Currently in construction on the Forge World of Graia

and I am strongly considering adding / building to further Warhound titans to cover the new weapon options, and magnetise them this time.

I went through the trouble to vectorise the insignia of Legio Astraman, as I'd like some decals of the iconography, along with variants for my miniatures ("Graia", campaign markers, golden cogs). The official decal sheets are scarce and limited to only a handful of legions. I'll be happy with some white decals to put on some of the green armour plates. Just have to find a proper printer within the EU, who doesn't break the bank.

Another thing, that I want to have completed until the event are the name plates for bases and command terminals, as this is - exclusively to Adeptus Titanicus in this case - part of the immersion for me. I can see myself doing the same for Battlefleet Gothic, but those are the only systems that I want to do this. Versatile Terrain offers STLs that I could print at home, as I don't want to go through the trouble of shipping without IOSS registration.

The other participants at the Uulda events had those, and I really like the design.

(AuxiliaryMirelurk's Legio Charybdis and Herr.Poom's Legio Tempestus)

I already collected some names in High and Low Gothic. I am aware that those are not proper Latin translations, and I bend the words here and there for a better sound.

Warhound Titans

  • Venator Ferae (Wild Hunter)
  • Bellum Lupus (Warwolf)
  • Ferreus Latrare (Iron Growl)

Dire Wolf

  • Gratia Martis (Favor of Mars)
  • Lunae Lunem (Moon Light)

Reaver Titans

  • Caerulus Iubar (Blue Dawn)
  • Meridies Aureum (Golden Noon)
  • Vespera Rubris (Red Dusk)

Warbringer

  • Caminus Irae (Furnace of Anger)

Warlord Titan

  • Ortus Solis (Sunrise)

Warlord Sinister-Psi Titan

  • Metit Dolorem (Harvester of Sorrow)

Warmaster

  • Stella Matutina (Morning Star)

If you have any feedback or recommendations, let me know, as those are not printed / ordered yet, and I still could swap things around.

Beyond that, the next battles for Uulda will be a bit more lore driven, supported by "fan-fiction", including some maps. The map of the Belt of Iron is from the supplement Adeptus Titanicus: Crucible of RetributionCampaign Compendium, and added the Uulda Subsector as the theatre of war to it. Gathered the matching fonts, loaded up photoshop and tinkered around a bit. I'll add further maps to the sub sector itself, and the planets, if the time allows it.

I am really excited about the next gaming weekend, as the other participants, like Herr.Poom, LordLeonatos, Hive_Citizen, AuxiliaryMirelurk, our host BroncoFish and latest addition to the circle, The Forge Temple, are already working on additions or new projects for that event.

I have about 7 weeks to get at least a Warbringer and a Reaver done, as those are my minimal goals, so I better get painting.
