Age of Sigmar – Stormcast Eternals Lord Imperatant with Gryph Hound
With issue 08 of Age of Sigmar Stormbringer we get another hero for the Stormcast Eternals, a Lord Imperatant with Gryph Hound. Don't worry, this is not one of the models that is going to be culled.
Both models fit inside the small sprue and the Lord Imperatant is cut into multiple layers, for a very plastic result.
The instructions for the model are included in issue #08, or can be found for example on reddit on WarhammerInstructions. In some cases with the Stormbringer content, this can be helpful, as the instructions are kept simple and you might miss out on variants / options, that were covered with the Dominion instructions.
The Lord Imperatant are capable commanders of the Stormcast Eternals, and this model comes with a detailed base topper as well as the choice between helmeted and bare head. As usual with my Stormcast Eternal warband, I went with the helmeted one.
I have to say, fit was an issue due to the push fit nature of this model. I highly recommend removing the pins and then glue the model in a regular way, as this will provide a much cleaner finish and you have to worry less about gaps.
But he's not alone and is accompanied by a Gryph Hound, as common with many Stormcast characters.
Both have rules for the use in Warcry and I intend to do so. As these models are still available via second hand market from splitted dominion boxes, you can pick them up at around 15-20 EURs, or with the magazine for 10,99 EUR.
