We gave you the overview on the content of the core set, so let's continue with the additional content of the first wave and the first super heavy options for the Solar Auxilia - the Baneblade Squadron!
This kit comes with two sprues at a RRP of 40 EURs / 30 GBP, each sprue covers enough parts to build either a Baneblade or a Hellhammer.
Legions Imperialis – Legiones Astartes Rhino Transport Detachment

Legions Imperialis – Legiones Astartes
After the unboxing of the core set we go into detail on the two factions of the first wave of Legions Imperialis. The Legiones Astartes and Solar Auxilia are part of the core set, and their infantry boxes are available right from the start with the initial wave, along with some heavier equipment for the motor pool.
This article covers the Legiones Astartes Infantry (incl. Contemptor Dreadnought) boxed set, and Predator and Sicaran tanks from the core set.
Each of these boxes come with two identical sprues and an instruction leaflet, at a RRP of 40 EUR / 30 GBP. We begin with the infantry of the Legiones Astartes, which is included with two sprues in the core set as well.
Legions Imperialis – The Solar Auxilia
The second force within the new Legions Imperialis core set is the Solar Auxilia. Similar to the Legiones Astartes, we have the Infantry set available as part of the first wave. The Baneblade / Hellhammer will be covered in an article of its own.
So today, we will look into the Solar Auxilia Infantry (incl. Charonite Ogryns and Aethon Heavy Sentinels), as well the Leman Russ and Malcador which are currently exclusive to the core set.
Each of boxes cover two identical sprues at a RRP of 40 EUR / 30 GBP. Decals are only included with the vehicle kits. Let's start with the Infantry.
Warhammer The Horus Heresy – Legions Imperialis – Unboxing
It is finally here! We have a large release for Legions Imperialis, battles within the Horus Heresy in an epic scale! And we start with an unboxing of the starter set, covering Legiones Astartes, Solar Auxilia and even two Warhounds.
This will be the initial unboxing, followed by detailed, indepth reviews, as you have seen it in the past for example with the Age of Darkness or Leviathan boxed set. And it is great that we return once again to when I was there the day Horus slew the Emperor.

We're still in the embargo window on the coverage, but we're very excited for the upcoming weeks and have a lot of content prepared.
Bolt Action Campaign Italy – Tough Gut
We cover the second part of the Italian campaign today and move on from the Soft Underbelly towards the Tough Guts.
Almost a year after the first book, Campaign Italy: Tough Gut was released in August 2023, expanding the possibilities for the Italian forces even more. The first book covered the activities until Ortena in December 1943 and we pick it up again in the second supplement in January 1944 with their move further towards Rome through Cassino, until June 1944.
October 2023 review
The post man was quite busy this month, as was Dino with his extensive coverage on Mortal Gods. And one of the events I managed to squeeze in this month was the SPIEL in Essen. And one of the few things, I picked up at the show, was this nice SioCast miniatures. If that name rings a bell, we've seen the machines at the Warlord Games studio. I'm looking forward to drop by their booth at Formnext on November 8th.
As I said, the post man was busy, and while I'm still working on the second Italy campaign book for Bolt Action, Tough Guts, which follows up on Soft Underbelly, and my backlog became a bit bigger (incl. the things I brought back from the BOYL trip, another Sd.Kfz. variant).
