Pinterest: Inq28, Mutiny and Conversions
Continuing with the coverage from last years advent calendar, I'd like to share some picks from my Pinterest collection. You might have noticed the pinterest widget in the lower right corner of the blog. I started using pinterest to collect websites and images to different topics, and I thought it would be a nice addition to a blog roll, to gather and collect wargaming relevant content.
WilhelMiniatures has some Inq28 delight, very Blanche-esque. So if you like the dark, gritty artwork of John Blanche and the background of Rogue Trader and Warhammer 40.000, you should definitely pay this blog a visit. His conversions are a wild mixture all across the range of parts along with very talented sculpting. Some of the miniatures can be seen in the Blanchitsu articles in White Dwarf and the Games Workshop Gallery.
A pick from Germany, Moiterei's Bunte Welt, (Mutiny's colourful world) is a broad collection of historic and pulp projects. From the Dark Ages to World War II, you'll find lots of painted miniatures for SAGA, Operation Squad, Bolt Action and so on. If you like his painting style, pay attention to his tutorials, especially the superb one on the german paratroopers splinter camo.
Many people know Dave Taylor and his fantastic miniatures blog. He has been working for Games Workshop for over a decade (taking care of the White Dwarf in the late 90s), and six years for Wargames Illustrated. You can expect some grade a content, and a lot of conversions and commissions. His converted Blood Bowl team actually made think again on buying the latest edition of Blood Bowl. You can find him on Youtube, Facebook and Patreon as well.
I hope you enjoyed these three introductions from my pinterest. Some of these project are niché and not the usual 9 out of 10 CMON Rating thing you see on other pages, but I wanted to share a few projects and links, that you would otherwise miss. Maybe you got some inspiration from one of these, for a new project or conversion. Love to hear from you, if this brought a new idea along or if you have found something, that should be shared - just let me know.
Feel free to share some of the interesting projects and blogs you've found online, come by again soon and leave a comment or give me a like on Facebook if you like this blog!
