On november 2nd 2013 once again the Tinsoldiers of Antwerp invited to the Crisis.

The crisis is the largest wargaming event on the european mainland and an one-day show, that gathers 90 traders and manufacturers. On top of that, a lot of wargaming clubs host demo- and gaming tables.

Among the guests were many familiar faces. So i met Warwick Kinrade (Author of several Forge World books and the Battlegroup range), as he was taking a closer look at a d-day table.

The crisis was well visited, a reason for that is that you find manufacturers and ranges who rarely participate on shows, like Grand Manner with their resin buildings.

Very prominent were CNC and laser cutters. From new starters, like CNC Belgium, who even introduced gaming modules, to 4ground, with their impressive pre-painted western terrain.

Many of the wargaming clubs, like the Golden Goblins, really went the extra mile. This Blood Bowl table was done with so much attention to detail, the visitor stands, banners and even a hotdog booth, that it really caught my eye.

The complete palette of tables was colorful and rich. Historic tables were dominant on about 50% of the tables, like you see it on this table by Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy, but in total there was something for everybody.

Many of the tables had little gimmicks, like story telling components. Like this table, that wasn't just impressive by size, but the small scenes, that soften up the whole impression and gave more depth.
