FeenCon 2010
Last weekend, the Guild of Fantasy Roleplayers once again hosted FeenCon in Bonn-Bad Godesberg.
As is usual for a convention, role-players, board gamers, fantasy and sci-fi fans and, of course, a few table-top gamers come together under one roof. So it's not unusual to meet "old acquaintances" at FeenCon.
Since we were at the fair for the tabletop, of course, we'll focus less on the many rounds of Shadowrun, The Dark Eye and other games and instead take a look at the miniature pushers and painters on site.
On the one hand, the Koblenz-based KoMiCon association was on site with 2 tables for historical systems and offered demos of Field of Glory and DBA. Anyone who missed Bonn but would still like to take the opportunity to see Field of Glory and some other systems should come to KoMiCon in Koblenz on 14 and 15 August.
Where there are role-playing games, tabletop games and accessories, Ulisses is of course not to be missed. In addition to role-playing game novelties, there were new products from Warmachine and Hordes, as well as a selection of different blister packs and boxes from Anima Tactics and Battletech, among others.
We had the opportunity to talk about some of the upcoming new products and what we can expect this year in terms of miniatures and rules. It is not unlikely that Field of Glory will be distributed by Ulisses in Germany.
Another well-known guest at FeenCon is the stand of the MaxPaint painting community. We were able to talk to Vulture and xShaperx on site about a few new products and future plans (RPC 2011 ). You can be curious, there are a few things in preparation.
Traditionally, you can also find some of the "older" systems, such as Battletech or Demonworld at FeenCon. There was also the opportunity to try out Full Thrust and the Playmobil tabletop table, which last year featured naval battles and this year offered a desert battle between Romans and Egyptians.
The outdoor area of FeenCon, located around the Stadthalle, is pleasantly green and, depending on the weather, offers the option of visiting the small "medieval market" or moving the role-playing game round under the blue sky on the Rhine.
We would like to thank Tore Herr and the Guild of Fantasy Roleplayers for the invitation and the organisation of FeenCon.
